ILSA (International Law Students Association) Law College Dehradun Chapter under the aegis of Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University had organized it’s fourth International Legal Essay Writing Competition, on the topic: International Legal Essay Competition and Symposium on September 7, 2022. The theme for the Essay Competition was “International Law Regime” which had marked its end with a symposium. This Essay Competition envisaged promoting and developing the ability of a student to think from a Global Legal Perspective and strengthening their legal writing skills. More than 100 entries were received which were then carefully scrutinized to arrive at the list of merit holders. Mr. Stuart Kerr, President of the International Law Institute (ILI) was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Dr. G.V. Rao, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India & Vice-President of the Indian Society of International Law was the Guest of Honour. Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor Uttaranchal University Dean Law College Dehradun and Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Rawat, Head of Department Law, Faculty Members and the Participants graced the event. The Chief Guest Mr. Stuart Kerr and the keynote speakers of the day explained various chronological aspects of “The promotion and strengthening of the rule of law in the maintenance of International peace and security. After the question answer session, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, declared the results of the competition. At 3rd Position – Shruti Verma At 2nd Position – Jain Awasthi and Mimanshaat and 1st Position was secured by Argah Maitra.
