Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) under the aegis of Uttaranchal University organized a Sports event on 29 August 2022 on “National Sports Day”. The day is celebrated throughout India to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, “Major Dhyan Chand”. Major Dhyan Chand Singh won gold medals in India’s Olympics in 1928, 1932, and 1936. Students of USCS participated in all the activities with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Dean, Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences. Raghav Garg student of B.Sc. – IT 2nd Year won the chess competition and Anmitra Sharma from B.Sc. – IT 3rd year won the carrom competition.
The above event was planned and executed by Mr. Praveen Shah, In-Charge, Sports Club, USCS, which was accompanied by Ms. Vijaylakshmi Sajwan, Ms. Manisha Khanduja, Mr. Ishteyaaq Ahmad, Ms. Manisha Saini, and Mr. Amarjeet Rawat. Overall, the event was successful.
