The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), a constituent of Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully conducted the Quality Council of India on-site quality assessment for its undergraduate 4-year B.Pharm program on April 15-16, 2026, at the university campus.

The on-site quality assessment was carried out by a team comprising two assessors from the Pharmacy Council of India and an official from the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) under the Quality Council of India (QCI). The two-day on-site evaluation involved a comprehensive review of teaching-learning processes, faculty and student sampling, faculty-student interactions, criterion-wise documentation and evidence mapping, academic practices, and infrastructure facilities, including decentralized quality practices implemented by IQAC at both the central and school levels. The assessment was conducted in accordance with the standard operating procedures prescribed by QCI.

The on-site assessment concluded with an exit meeting held on April 16, 2026, during which the NABET representative presented key observations in line with the prescribed SOP framework, emphasizing continuous improvement and the principle that quality is a matter of choice, not compulsion.

The session was effectively coordinated and chaired by Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor of Uttaranchal University. Distinguished attendees included Prof. Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS; Er. Rajesh Deorari, Director, IQAC; Er. Sudhir Jugran, Assistant Manager (IQAC); and Dr. Yogita Tyagi, Head of Department, Pharmacy, along with faculty members, non-teaching staff, and university officials.

The university administration acknowledged the dedicated efforts and seamless support extended by faculty members, staff, and all stakeholders of UIPS and the university, which contributed significantly to the successful completion of the on-site quality assessment process.
