Law College Dehradun organized an Intramural PIL Drafting Competition, on 13 April 2026, as a part of TRI- LEGAL 4.0: The Law Fest, 2026, under the aegis of, Moot Court Society. The event was one of the three flagship competitions of the fest, alongside the Intramural Paperless Trial Advocacy Competition and the Intramural Client Counselling Competition. As part of the institution’s commitment to promoting legal scholarship and practical learning, the competition aimed to enhance students understanding of Public Interest Litigation and advance constitutional and social justice, while providing a platform to develop skills in legal drafting, research, and articulation. 


The theme of the competition was Constitutional Law, which encouraged participants to engage with core constitutional principles and contemporary legal challenges. Participants addressed various aspects of constitutional law, demonstrating a commendable understanding of fundamental rights and constitutional values following a rigorous PIL Knockout Round, the top 10 participants qualified for the Oral Rounds, where they pleaded their cases before the bench. The Oral Rounds were adjudged by Dr. Anjum Parvez, and Dr. Kuljit Singh, whose valuable insights and guidance greatly enriched the proceedings.


The event concluded with a grand Valedictory Ceremony for TRI-LEGAL 4.0: The Law Fest, 2026, marking its culmination. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of our Patron, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, Law College Dehradun; Dr. Radhey Shyam Jha, Head of Department; Dr. Aishwarya Singh, Faculty In-Charge; and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Rai, Senior Prosecution Officer, Dehradun, whose insights and encouragement added great value to the occasion.
