On 18th September 2025, the students of Journalism & Mass Communication of School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University participated in a symposium organized by the Uttarakhand Government's Culture Department on the topic "Four Years of the Dhami Government: Achievements." Various dignitaries shared their views and informed the students about the government's plans and projects. The event was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellors from various universities in the state, senior literary figures, public representatives, journalists, and intellectuals. The program began with the lighting of a lamp. Former Governor, Honorable Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, was the chief guest, while the program was presided over by Mrs. Madhu Bhatt, Vice President, Council for Culture, Literature, and Arts.
The symposium began with a documentary screening and book release. Following this, Shri Manoj Sati presented a detailed account of the Dhami government's achievements in its four years. Speaking on women empowerment, Doon University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Surekha Dangwal described Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's decision to implement the Uniform Civil Code as historic and addressed him as a people's leader. UCOST Director General Prof. Presenting the outline of "Uttarakhand @ 2013," Prof. (Dr.) Durgesh Pant stated that concrete steps are being taken in the state on Science City, AI, robotics, and disaster management.
He also informed about the establishment of the country's first Science City Hub on 88.8 MHz. Uttarakhand Open University Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Chandra Lohani highlighted the features of the new education policy, NCERT curriculum, Anganwadi, and skill development programs. Senior litterateur Prof. (Dr.) Govind Singh, Chairman of the Media Advisory Committee, shared his views on anti-cheating laws and education reforms. Finally, all speakers unanimously agreed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand has made significant strides in education, health, investment, and other sectors. Significant progress has been made in areas such as science-technology, culture and women empowerment.
