The International Women's Day celebration at Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences was held on 8 March 2025 with the theme "Gender Diversity in Leadership Programs." The event aimed to promote inclusivity and highlight the importance of equal opportunities in leadership for both men and women.
A key highlight of the celebration was the enthusiastic participation of both boys and girls in the speech and poetry competition. Students eloquently expressed their views on gender diversity, emphasizing the need for equal representation in decision-making roles. The speech competition featured inspiring perspectives on breaking stereotypes and encouraging women in leadership. The poetry competition brought forth creative expressions of empowerment, with students composing verses that celebrated resilience, ambition, and the challenges faced by women in leadership. The powerful recitations captivated the audience, leaving a lasting impact. Faiza from BPT VI Semester secured first position in the speech competition and Bismeet Kaur Saluja from BPT II Semester emerged as the winner in the poetry competition.
The event concluded with faculty members appreciating the active participation of all students and encouraging them to uphold gender equality in their future careers. The celebration fostered awareness on building a more inclusive and diverse leadership culture. Women Cell of UCHS coordinated the event under the guidance of Dr Kartikey, Director, UCHS.
