Law College Dehradun takes pride in organizing the Intramural Debate Competition on 7 November 2024 in collaboration with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Sammiti, on the topic, “THBT- “Small States are the call of time”. The chief guest for the event was Mr Vivekanand Khanduri, a social activist and politician besides the presence of Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean Law College, Dehradun, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal, Law College Dehradun, Dr Radhey Shyam Jha, Head of the Department and other faculty members and students. The students in favour of the motion argued for the benefit of better administration in small states whereas the participants against the motion outlined the cultural barriers in creating small states. Overall, the gathering witnessed a fiery argument with facts and figures enhancing the constructs.
The winner of the event are as follows:
1. Winner: Abhinav Bansal
2. First Runner Up: Sudhanshu Gaur
3. Second Runner Up: Simran Chauhan
The gathering was addressed by chief guest and the Dean of Law College Dehradun.
