Awareness camp on National Cancer Day

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organized an awareness camp on “National Cancer Day” on 8 November 2024 for students of Cantt Junior High School, Prem Nager, Dehradun and Rajakiya Inter College, Pondha, Dehradun. The primary goal of the awareness camp was to raise awareness about cancer, its risk factors, prevention, early detection, and treatment options. This will further help in educating the students and the public about the importance of cancer prevention and early intervention.  

More than 100 students participated in the quiz competition and presentation organized during the camp. It was an informative session which helped the students in enriching their knowledge.  

The visit was coordinated by Mrs Shilpa Rana, Mrs Sadhna Rawat and Mr Akhilesh Nautiyal, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS & under the supervision of Dr Nidhi Gairola, HoD, UIPS.
