The two-day International Conference on "Nano Materials & Green Technology for Sustainability" (ICNMGT 2024) commenced on 26 October 2024. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by distinguished guests, including Prof MSM Rawat, Former VC & Dean, HNB Garhwal University, Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University, Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Prof Ajay Singh, Convenor & Director, SALS, Dr Anil Singh, Director, Daundi Biological Pvt. Ltd., Dehradun, Mr Sachin V Mehta, Chairman, Sudarshan Pharma Group, Dr Vinod Tewari, Professor, BHU, and Dr Vishal Sharma, Head, Institute of Forensic Science, Punjab University.
During the inauguration, Prof Ajay Singh provided an overview of the significance of nanomaterials and green technology in achieving sustainability and shared that the conference had received over 400 research paper submissions.
Internationally renowned scholars, including Dr Enrico Cattizzone, Professor, Dept. of Environmental Engineering, University of Calabria, Italy and Dr C R Bhaduri, CEO, RD-Ratio Diagnostics GmbH, Germany, delivered their talks online. Other esteemed speakers included Dr Harish Chandra, Prof N Gopalan, Dr AK Dixit, Dr Vineet Kumar, FRI, and Mr Amit Kotiyal, GM, Sheron Biomedicines contributed with insightful presentations.
The conference also recognized outstanding contributions through oral and poster presentations. Awardees included Divyesh Suvedi from Shoolini University, Ruchi Mishra, Dr Vinay Kumar Pandey from Manav Rachna University, and Khushi Tehri and Shelly Kulvanshi for their remarkable research work.
Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor lauded the School of Applied and Life Sciences for successfully organizing this international event focused on sustainability. The valedictory session was presided over by Dr Abhishek Joshi, the Executive Director, marking the conclusion of the impactful conference.
