School of Agriculture (SOA) organized a ‘Clean Water and Sanitation: A Global Perspective’ workshop ‘Clean Water and Sanitation: A Global Perspective the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. SDG-6 aims to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all by 2030. Water is fundamental for human health, economic development, and the environment, yet billions still lack safe water and adequate sanitation. SDG 6 focuses on providing universal and equitable access to safe drinking water, improving sanitation and hygiene, and reducing pollution to protect water ecosystems. The goal also emphasizes the need for effective water management to prevent shortages, minimize waste, and increase efficiency in water use. The workshop's objective was to explore and address the global challenges and solutions related to ensuring access to clean water and adequate sanitation for all, and to inform the objective on their contribution towards clean water and to decrease water pollution. Also, encourage the adoption of effective practices and contribution to decrease water pollution. By prioritizing sustainable water and sanitation systems, we can improve the quality of life globally and help build resilient societies capable of facing future environmental and economic challenges. Prof (Dr) Mahipal Singh, Director and Dr Rajendra Prasad. Head of the Department, SOA appreciated the effort of Dr Rachna Juyal and Dr Rajat Singh and also persuaded the students to do the best at their level.
