On NSS Foundation Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Subharti Hospital, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp at the Uttaranchal Hospital & Diagnostic Centre. The camp commenced at 10:30 AM of 24 September 2024 and saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, all united under the motto of "Not Me but You."
The program was inaugurated by Shri Jitender Joshi, President, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Prof (Dr) Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof V K Srivastav, University Program Officer, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma and Dr Navnit Kumar Shukla, along with all the co-coordinators and all Dean and Directors. In his address, Shri Jitender Joshi, expressed, “Blood donation is a selfless act that embodies the true spirit of humanity. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that those in need receive help. I commend the efforts of our students and staff in participating in this noble cause.” Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, said, “At Uttaranchal University, we believe in fostering a culture of social responsibility. This blood donation camp is part of our commitment to community service. Every year, we organize such co-curricular activities to promote awareness and inspire our students to contribute positively to society. Supporting noble causes like this is essential in shaping responsible citizens. The camp concluded successfully with a total blood donation count of 168 units, all of which will serve humanity. Medical professionals from Subharti Hospital and Uttaranchal Hospital ensured safe and hygienic procedures throughout the event.
