Internal Hackathon was held at Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University on 31st August 2024. The event started with a warm welcome of President, Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Director, DRI, Prof Rajesh Singh, Head, DRI, Prof Anita Gehlot and Jury members.
The event featured distinguished jury members, including Dr Brij Mohan Sharma, SPECS, Dehradun. Dr Gulshan K Dhingra, SDUU, Rishikesh, Dr Santosh Kumar, AIIMS, Rishikesh, Dr Ranjan Mishra, UPES, Dehradun, Dr Ankur Dumka, WIT, Dehradun, Dr Ravindra Sharma, SRHU, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, Dr Yogesh Kumar Gupta, MD, Morgan Building Technology Pvt Ltd, Dr Amit Kumar Gupta, DGM, HCL Technology share their expertise with the students.
Internal Jury members of Uttaranchal University including Dr Ishteyaaq Ahmend, Mr Gopal Krishna, Ms Pooja Verma, Mr Parmeender Singh, Mr Deventer Singh, Ms Sakshi Koli, Dr Amarjeet Rawat, Mr Anurag Kumar, Mr Shailander Tiwari, Dr Saurabh Dhyani, Mr Mohit Kumar, and Mr Amit Kumar. All the dignitaries come up for light lamp for formal inauguration of the event.
The hackathon witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, including Computer Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, and Management. A total of 100 teams registered, with each team comprising 6 members. Shri Jitender Joshi ji motivated students to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies. Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi encouraged students to develop innovative solutions to contemporary problems. Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna encouraged students to promote teamwork and collaboration among students from diverse disciplines. Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh shared the details about the Smart India Hackathon to the students. The participants were evaluated on innovation, technical implementation, relevance to the theme, impact, and presentation. Judges reviewed the projects through live demonstrations.
The hackathon ended with inspiring words of wisdom by Vice President, Ms Ankita Joshi congratulating the students for showcasing their creativity, problem-solving skills, teamwork. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Sumeet Chaudhary, Director, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology,
