Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University conducted “Paint it Red” A Slogan Writing Competition on the theme "Anti-Ragging Awareness" on 14 August 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ragging as a part of the Anti-Ragging Week from 12th August to 18th August 2024. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of eradicating rag and promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and empathy among our students. The event was organized by the Anti Ragging Committee and garnered enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.
Participants from MBA, BBA, and B Com (Hons) demonstrated their creativity and commitment to the cause through their thought-provoking slogan posters. The posters displayed a wide range of creative expressions, highlighting the message of zero tolerance towards ragging. The posters conveyed the emotional and psychological toll that ragging can have on victims, promoting empathy and understanding among the audience.
A panel of esteemed judges, Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM and faculty members evaluated the slogan posters based on criteria such as creativity, relevance to the theme, and effectiveness in conveying the anti-ragging message.
The event was successfully planned under the guidance and supervision of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, executed by ‘Anti Ragging Committee, UIM’ headed by Dr Megha Aggarwal, Professor, UIM, along with Dr Babita Rawat, Professor, UIM, Mr Rajesh Pant, Assistant Professor, UIM, and Mr Sanjay Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIM, Mr Arpit Walia Assistant professor UIM, Dr Varun Tripathi, Assistant professor UIM, Dr Priti Tyagi, Assistant professor UIM, Dr Rakesh Kumar, Assistant professor UIM, Mr Anup Singh, President, Anti Ragging Committee, UIM and other student volunteers.
