Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a “Faculty Orientation Programme” for Enhancing Teaching and Learning Quality on 9 August 2024. The initiative aimed to educate and inspire newly appointed faculty members, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities while familiarizing them with the department's structure, governance, and regulations.
The occasion was enhanced by the presence of Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS, Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD USCS and Dr Monisha Awasthi, DIQAC USCS.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma emphasized the importance of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the faculty. She also provided insights into the university's vision and strategic goals, encouraging the new members to actively contribute to the academic community.
During the faculty orientation, each new faculty member had the opportunity to introduce themselves. Mr Praveen Shah, Head-Criteria V, explained the ERP system, and Mr Amarjeet Rawat, Head-Criteria discussed the induction schedule for new students and faculty roles. Dr Sameer Dev Sharma provided insights into the university's rules and regulations. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Monisha Awasthi.
