One-week Faculty Development Program on Quality Research Paper Writing Skills Using Computer Vision Technique

 

Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized a one-week Faculty Development Program on Quality Research Paper Writing Skills Using Computer Vision Techniques from 10 June 2024 to 15 June 2024 with the aim to enhance research writing skills in the context of computer vision techniques and to encourage participants to identify research problems in their fields. Mr Ravi Teja, Founder, Tejasya Innovative Solutions (TEJIS) and Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot Head R&I were the expert speakers. 

The FDP began with the lamp lighting ceremony and felicitation of speakers by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean, USCS. She encouraged all faculty to approach each session with enthusiasm and an open mind, ready to absorb new concepts and refine your skills. 

Mr Teja talked on software and tools including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV for computer vision research. He highlighted that integrating Google Colab with WitBlox can greatly enhance research and teaching. 

Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot emphasized the importance of ethical research practices and disclosing any conflicts of interest. She recommended using journal finder tools to identify suitable journals.
