The first technical session was taken by Mr. Vikas Singh, who opined that online dispute resolution is different from alternative dispute resolution as the former includes both ADR and traditional judicial system, while the latter involves alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. He restated how the online dispute resolution system can never fully replace the traditional system but suggested that disputes should be categorized into two parts- the ones that can be taken up via online mode and the ones which ought to be addressed in offline mode.

Mr. Sukrut Kapoor in his session stated that ADR is one of the best and remarkable mechanisms, including online Lok Adalats. He urged the budding lawyers to not see mediation as a mere procedural part before taking up a matter before the court. The informative and insightful sessions were followed by a question-answer session. These ranged from the challenges on shifting proceedings to an online mode, effect on work ethics to the driving force for first generation lawyers and online ADR startup.

Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Rawat, Delivered the vote of thanks, and thanked all the Dignitaries, and Students for their valuable time and presence.
