An Industrial visit at Britannia Industries Ltd, Rudrapur

 

The CRC Club at Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized an insightful educational trip to Britannia Industries Ltd on 09 March 2024, for MBA, BBA, and B Com (H) students. The visit spearheaded by Dr Bipin Kandpal, CRC Club Head, along with Dr Anil Singh Chauhan and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD of UIM, was initiated and guided by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, the Dean of UIM. 

The primary aim of the visit was to familiarize students with various facets of business operations such as Production, Human Resources, Operations, and Marketing within a prominent FMCG Company specializing in the manufacturing of biscuits, cakes, breads, rusk, and dairy products. 

Upon arrival, the group was warmly welcomed by Ms Nivedita Joshi, HR Officer and Trainer, and Ramdutt Joshi, Production Training Officer. The students embarked on a guided tour of the production unit, exploring areas such as Raw Material, Quality Control, Production, and Packaging sections. Subsequently, they were ushered into the meeting hall where they received insights into the company's vision, mission, and policies. 

In a stimulating Q&A session, students had the opportunity to pose their inquiries, which were thoughtfully addressed by the hosts. The visit concluded on a delightful note as students indulged in delectable refreshments, leaving them thoroughly gratified by the enriching experience.
