In a unique and enriching educational initiative, students of the School of Liberal Arts embarked on a captivating journey to Institute of Mental Health & Hospital Agra, the UNESCO World Heritage site Taj Mahal, and the spiritual hubs of Mathura and Vrindavan. This interdisciplinary exploration aimed to deepen students' understanding of mental health, cultural heritage, and the interplay between psychology and historical contexts. 

The visit to the Institute of Mental Health & Hospital provided students with a profound insight into the world of mental health care. Engaging with mental health professionals, students gained awareness about various societal challenges surrounding mental health. The interactive sessions allowed students to appreciate the importance of empathy and compassion in psychology. The iconic Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site, served as a cultural backdrop to the students' journey. Beyond its architectural splendor, students explored the historical and cultural significance of this magnificent monument. Venturing into the sacred cities of Mathura and Vrindavan, students delved into the spiritual and cultural tapestry of India. This experiential learning allowed them to grasp the psychological dimensions of faith, devotion, and the role of cultural practices in shaping individual and collective psyches. 

The integration of psychology education with visits to Agra Mental Hospital, the Taj Mahal, and Mathura-Vrindavan provided students with a holistic understanding of the diverse facets of their field. This multifaceted approach enriched their academic knowledge, fostering a deeper appreciation for the intricate interplay between psychology, cultural heritage, and historical contexts. The journey served as a reminder of the importance of context and cultural sensitivity in the practice of psychology, highlighting the need for a comprehensive and nuanced approach to the study of Psychology. Mr Jageshwar Ray, Mr Ashutosh Sharma and Ms Shilpi Prakash, Assistant Professors - SLA accompanied the students on this educational visit.
