Uttaranchal University marked World Alzheimer's Day with a seminar headlined by Dr. Abhinav Joshi, a distinguished Integrative neuropsychiatrist and Psycho-somatic therapist and Mindfulness Coach. Mr Komil Kumar delivered the welcome address. Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean, School of Liberal Arts & Student Welfare welcomed the guest and motivated students of psychology to come forward for better management and how they can reduce their (elderly people) fear and feel they are an important part of society. This academic and professional gathering aimed to comprehensively address Alzheimer's disease. Dr Abhinav Joshi opened the seminar with a keynote address, highlighting the global significance of World Alzheimer's Day and the urgency of early detection and intervention in managing the disease. His presentation set the stage for a deep dive into Alzheimer's disease, encompassing its etiology, clinical manifestations, and risk factors. The elucidation of the neurological aspects enriched attendees' understanding. A poignant session explored the caregiver's perspective, shedding light on their emotional and practical challenges.
