Law College Dehradun organized “Deeksharambh - Orientation & Induction” program from 17August to 5 September 2023, where the new students were welcomed by the management along with the faculty members of Law College Dehradun as a mark of new beginning for all the freshers. The orientation began with a brief inaugural ceremony and felicitation of the guest. The event at the central level got the students acquainted with the higher officials of the university.
Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Rawat, Principal LCD commenced the event with a warm welcome to the students of the batch 2023.Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro VC and Dean Law College Dehradun in his first Official address proudly introduced the pillars of the college, the esteemed faculty members, the vision & mission of the college, the various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college. Shedding some light on the achievements and legacy he said, Law College Dehradun always strives to motivate and bring out the best in its students, and drive to push them beyond boundaries and explore the excellence within.
Following this various Societies of the college conducted their orientation where they explained the induction process and their functioning. In pursuance of this the students interacted with the Career Resource Center (CRC) cell which gave them an overview of career prospects and an urge in the young minds to set their goals at the right time. The library committee during their session briefed about various online databases available and procedure to access it. ERP team explained the ERP management system of the University, its functionality, notifications, submission of assignments etc. Sessions on alumni speak was organized where two erudite personalities motivated the freshers about the current corporate scenario and the ways and means to equip oneself to enter it.
The entire orientation program played a key role in helping the new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self-exploration.
