The Faculty Orientation Programme was organized by the Departmental Internal Quality Assurance Cell (DIQAC) of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun on 02 August 2023. The program's goals were to make faculty members aware of their duties and responsibilities and to spread the efficient quality education outcome-based techniques to be used for the upgradation of the institution.
Dr Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS highlighted the important academic issues and advised the members of faculty to follow them and carry them out successfully. In accordance with academic rules and regulations, he also counselled the faculty members to work with the department head and examination controller. Dr Jakhmola has also described the institution's structure and operation as well as the standards for high-quality research and collaborations.
Dr Tarun Parashar, HOD, DIQAC of UIPS, discussed the process of NAAC Accreditation and each criterion. He emphasised on the regular use of ICT tools to attain quality-based education. He also covered the development of research identities, the duties of the departmental club and committees, as well as the examination and assessment procedure in all the Programmes.
The mentor-mentee relationship, its role, and obligations were discussed with the new faculty members by Mrs Pallavi Ghildiyal. Ms Ghildiyal talked about how the ERP works and explained the requirement for research IDs as well as research repositories. Mr Arun Thakur also talked about the functionality of the library. Mrs Jyotsana Suyal and Ms Jaya Rautela co-ordinated the event.
