Law College Dehradun organizes, “Alumni Contribution -Cash in Kind” where an alumni share their experiences and expertise with the students. In this sequence, Ms. Chitra Rab, of batch 2002-07 and the first gold medalist of the five-year law program was invited on 29 August 2023, who addressed students on the topic ‘Navigating the Courtroom: Exploring the path of a litigation Lawyer’. Dean Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna and Prof. Poonam Rawat gave a grand welcome to Chitra Rab. Presently Chitra is serving as Law Officer in Uttarakhand Secretariat.
In his address, Dean of Law College, Dehradun, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna said that 'face to face with former students' is an ambitious scheme of the college, under which alumni associated with judicial work at various levels, including the Supreme Court, High Courts and District Courts of the country, are currently engaged.
Chitra Rab, in her address stated the students about the challenges of legal profession. She explained in a very simple way how a student can become a successful legal practitioner and how internship done in a timely and planned manner adds to the study of law. The students showed amazing interest and raised immense queries.
