Interactive Session about Hitachi Applied Data Science Program

On August 28, 2023, the Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) hosted an “Interactive Session about Hitachi Applied Data Science Program” for the final year students of BCA, MCA, and BSc (IT) shedding light on the program's intricacies. The expert speakers of the event were Mr Somin Lahri VP, Trans Neuron Technologies and Mr. Sudipto Halder GM, Trans Neuron Technologies. 


The occasion was graced by the presence of Honorable Chancellor, Shri Jitendra Joshi Ji, Vice President Prof. (Dr.) Satbir S Sehgal, Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Student Affairs & IT Services, Mr Iqbal Singh Sawhney Associate Director, Head CRC and Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean USCS. 


Honorable Shri Jitendra Joshi Ji felicitated Mr Somin Lahri and Mr Sudipto Halder with a sapling and memento as a token of gratitude. Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma welcomed all the dignitaries. She addressed that the essence of learning lies not just in acquiring information, but in deciphering its real-world implications.  


Trans Neuron Technologies' VP, Mr. Somin Lahri, offered comprehensive insights into the techniques, curriculum, and disruptive potentials of the Hitachi Applied Data Science Program. 


The GM at Trans Neuron Technologies, Mr. Sudipto Halder elaborated that many data science projects require interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skill. 


All students participated enthusiastically and had their queries addressed by expert speakers. Prof (Dr) Satbir S Sehgal Vice President commended the organizing committee's efforts and urged students to engage actively in the guest lecture for an interactive and insightful learning experience. 


As the event neared its end, Ms Divya Rawat proposed a vote of thanks. The seamless event coordination under the guidance of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HOD USCS, Mr Abhishek Pathak, Head, Academic and Non-Academic Events and Ms Manisha Saini, Co-Head, Academic and Non-Academic Events with support from dedicated student volunteers and technical staff.
