The Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a Guest lecture on “Motivation Towards Investment Awareness and Healthy Financial Decision - Banker’s Perspective” on 23 August 2023 for the students of MBA, 1st Year. The objective of the program was to create awareness among students and protect them from dubious investment campaigns and to inculcate the right investment habits. The Speaker Mr. Rakshit Radhyan, Senior Associate, State Bank of India, was the speaker of the event. Ms. Saberi, MBA, II Year and Mr. Mujammil, MBA, II Year were the MoC of the session.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM welcomed the speaker and addressed the students about the importance of money and the wise investment options and how to combat risk involved in investing. He also spoke about the intertwined relationship between money, spending, and investment.
The Speaker Mr. Rakshit Radhyan, Senoir Associate, SBI in his address emphasized on the importance of Investment awareness in developing the ideas and mind towards balancing the saving and mitigating the risk associated with all alternatives of investment. He also shared knowledge and his experience towards managing investment in global and domestic markets with the students and emphasized upon regular investment in various alternatives of saving plans nationally and internationally. He stressed upon how perseverance and hard work can help investors to reach the zenith of success. The students enthusiastically participated and had one-to-one interaction with the Speaker and resolved their queries pertaining to bank investment schemes and about their future career in the banking sector.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM, Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, Assistant Professor,UIM and the committee members Mr. Rakesh Kumar,Asst. Prof., UIM Ms.Neeti Misra, Asst. Prof., UIM. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Meenakshi Sharma and concluded by addressing the benefits of long-term investment. The event was a great success.
