A career counseling session for UG and PG students of different disciplines was organized by the School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) on 4 August 2023. The event began with the welcome of Dean SALS and Mr Iqbal Sahaney, Head CRC, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. Prof Ajay Singh, Dean of SALS, provided an overview of diverse career opportunities pertaining to industries, research, Government jobs, and their sectors for life science students. He encouraged and motivated students to explore all opportunities that came their way. Following his talk, there was a one-on-one discussion with students in which students raised queries related to higher studies and career prospects. Mr Iqbal Sahaney led the second technical session, where students learned about the various initiatives taken by CRC and Uttaranchal University to create promising career prospects. In his address, Mr Sahaney elaborated on how CRC can support students in the preparation of competitive examinations, personality development, cracking interviews, and ultimately selecting and procuring the right career option. Mr Paramjeet Singh and Mr Vibhum Agarwal from CRC also addressed the students and answered their queries. The event proved to be extremely successful, with numerous queries and doubts of students getting answers regarding career prospects.
