The Division of Research & Innovation at Uttaranchal University organized a transformative 4-week Summer Internship on Molecular and Microbiology Techniques. In the first week, inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, students were introduced to bacterial culture and DNA isolation, gaining hands-on experience with agarose gel electrophoresis. The interdisciplinary approach included microbiological techniques like Gram Staining. The second week focused on microscopy, Leishman Staining, and blood-related analyses, providing students with diverse skills. During the third week students learnt about Barford experiments, concentration calculations, and different experiments for DNA isolation from plant leaves. The fourth week explored fluorimeter applications, enhancing understanding of fluorescence-based methods. The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, symbolizing successful completion and acknowledging participants' dedication and knowledge accrued during the internship. Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, the Director of Uttaranchal University, presided over the ceremony, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride among the participants as they moved forward in their academic and professional journeys.
