Uttaranchal University, the first institution in the state with
NAAC A+ ranking, celebrated its Founder’s Day to commemorate the beginning of
the journey, and all the hard work put in to become a center of excellence for
providing world-class education to the youth of the country and for
contributing to the growth of the nation through quality research. This
day reminds us of the untiring endeavors of the visionary and the man of
actions none other than the founder and Chancellor Shri Jitendra Joshi Ji.
The celebrations of the event started with a few poetic lines by
Dr. Anil Dixit followed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna’s emotional speech in his own unique style took the
audience down memory lane and shared his invaluable experiences of all these
years at the university. The Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.)
Dharam Buddhi addressed the gathering and congratulated everyone present on the
occasion for the wonderful journey of the university. He also shared his vision
and blueprint of the action plan to take the university to greater heights of
success in the forthcoming years. Shri Arun Bhatt, a renowned Vocalist added a
mesmerizing aura with his soulful musical journey and the audience was
captivated by his voice which kept them connected throughout the show.
This musical journey was unintentionally stopped for cake
cutting and flower showering for the visionary leader Shri Jitendra
Joshi. The Vice-President, Uttaranchal University, Dr. S. S. Sehgal also
congratulated every member of the university and invited Shri Jitender Joshi
for the cake-cutting. The show didn’t stop there, it was waiting for laughter
in the auditorium and a world-famous hasya and Vyang rasa Kavi,
Shri Rakesh Jain ‘Rakesh’ compelled everyone to laugh at their fullest with his
humorous poems.
The entire aura and aroma of love, romance, and aestheticism was well moderated by an ardent poet by heart Prof. (Dr.) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare, Uttaranchal University poetical who took the atmosphere to its zenith by adding his Hindi poems to the celebrations.
The event was graced by Vice- Chairperson of the University, Shrimati Anuradha Joshi, Executive Director SA & IT services , Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director Planning and Projects, Shri Jagdish Joshi, Secretary of the BoG, Shri Rajeev Sharma and all the members of faculty and staff.
