Law College Dehradun organized the paper presentation round of the 5th National Essay Writing Competition on ‘Constitutional Law’ under the aegis of the Training and Recruitment Division on 20 May 2023 via Online mode. The competition witnessed participation from around 45 Universities across India.
The
top 5 participants of the written round of the competition qualified for paper
presentation and were allotted 3-5 minutes to present their papers. The paper
presentations started with the opening speech of Ms. Vanshita Mandrawal who
welcomed all the participants and explained the rules and time limit of the
presentations. The paper presentations were judged by Prof. Dr. Rajesh
Bahuguna, Pro Vice Chancellor of Uttaranchal University and Dean, Law College
Dehradun, and Prof. Dr. Poonam Rawat, Head, Law College Dehradun.
The
participants presented papers on varied topics like, "Data Privacy: A need
for Data Protection Laws." "Free Speech in the virtual world and the
Constitution of India", "Legal Protection of Rights to Privacy in the
Modern World", "Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Constitutional
Rights", etc.
After
the presentations, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna delivered the concluding remarks
and congratulated the participant for making the event successful. The results
of the paper presentation round were then declared after considering the marks
of the written round as well. The winners are as follows: -

3rd
position - Amit Masiwal, Siddhartha Law College, Dehradun

position - Saawarni Sharma, Law Centre II Faculty of Law University of Delhi

position - Anamika Goel, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab
The
event came to a successful completion after the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr.
Jayesh Srivastava, President, Training and Recruitment Division, Law College
Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University.
