Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized an industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 26 April 2023. A total of 50 students of B. Pharm III year along with two faculty members, Dr. Ankit Sharma and Ms. Mahamedha Deorari visited the company in coordination with Mr Jahangir Ahmad. They showed a documentary on the journey of a Himalaya wellness company and the contribution of Himalaya towards humanity as they also conducted a mission for contributing to cleft surgery of children. After that, Dr. Dixit took students to visit the Department of quality control and quality assurance, the manufacturing unit, the herbal garden, and the museum. At the end of the session, Dr. S. Farooq (President of the company) interacted with the students and motivated them towards Herbal Drug Industry. Students also explored the museum, Herbal Garden, and manufacturing unit of the Dehradun Plant. The visit to the company was very helpful as the students got a piece of good knowledge and were well informed about the production of the industry.
