The Uttaranchal School of Journalism and mass communication organised a training session on Fact Checking and Authentication of Online News Content on 4th of April,2023 at Uttaranchal university, Dehradun. Dr. Aditya Kumar Shukla, a renowned Google News Initiative India Training Network Trainer and currently working as an Associate professor at Manipal University, Jaipur was the guest speaker for the intellectual and interesting section.
In the section, he tells students of Journalism and Mass Communication about how to identify fake visuals, photography, content and graphics by using google lens, text search, reverse image and many more. Not only visual content verification, he also put up the light on Data Analysis. He also explained data collection, sample size, funding, google pinpoint, archive.org, tabula, invid, google data search, google advance search, data.gov.in, fireshot, onetap, google translate.
At the end the Director of USJMC Dr. Vikash Singh thanked the guest speaker and also presented a memento. In this informative session Students of USJMC participated along with all faculty members of USJMC. The event was coordinated by Ms. Ankita Singh.
