The School of Liberal Arts
organized a one-day Industrial visit to Himalayan Power Machine Manufacturing
Company, Dehradun on 28 April 2023. The students learned about
the different stages of manufacturing and the various machines and tools used.
The students were also shown the assembly line and testing area, where they
learned about quality control measures and how the machines are tested for
performance and efficiency to meet the required standards.
Overall, the industrial visit
to the Himalayan Power Machine Manufacturing Company was a valuable learning
experience for the BA students. They gained practical knowledge about the
functioning of a manufacturing company and the various processes involved in
the production of power machines. The visit provided the students with an
opportunity to see the application of the theoretical concepts they had learned
in their classroom. The Visit provided the students with a deeper appreciation
of the manufacturing industry and its importance in the overall development of
the economy. The visit was organized by Mr Ashutosh Sharma under the
supervision of Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean, SLA and Dr Reeta Rautela, HOD,
SLA. Mr Jageshwar Ray and Mr Ashutosh Sharma from School of Liberal Arts
accompanied the students.
