The Hospitality Club, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University organized a theme lunch based on “Punjabi Cuisine” on 17th February 2023.
The theme lunch event was graced by the Hon’ble Vice-President Dr. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi Ji and Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna Ji. The theme lunch was hosted at “Rendezvous” the Training Restaurant of USHHM, by the BHM 6th semester students.
Theme lunch is an excellent opportunity for hotel management students to gain practical experience and apply their classroom learning to a real-world setting. It helps them develop a range of skills, including practical, creative, interpersonal, and marketing skills, which are essential for a career in the hospitality industry. Punjabi Cuisine is one of the most distinct and popular Indian cuisines. BHM 4th semester students prepared a vast variety of delectable and exotic vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with varied traditional culinary styles. The most famous Punjabi Lassi was served to all the guest. Students also dressed up like the Punjabi’s and welcomed the guests in the traditional Punjabi style which bought a bright smile onto their faces. The theme of typical Punjabi Village was recreated by the students. All the dignitaries and students enjoyed the flavor and ambience of Punjabi Cuisine.
In the end, all the dignitaries congratulated the students and blessed them for all future endeavors. They also extended their wishes and motivated all the faculty members to initiate more activities for students to share the knowledge.
