The Hospitality Club, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University organized a “Mocktail Making Competition” on 23-02-23 on the occasion of ‘World Bartenders day’.

World Bartender Day is celebrated to honor and recognize the skills, hard work, and contributions of bartenders around the world. The celebration of World Bartender Day also aims to raise awareness about the bartending profession and highlight the importance of responsible drinking. Bartenders are trained to serve alcohol responsibly and safely, and they play a crucial role in preventing alcohol-related harm.

Overall, World Bartender Day is an opportunity to appreciate the contributions of bartenders and to recognize the important role they play in the hospitality industry and in promoting responsible drinking.

An intra college mocktail competition was organised by, Hospitality Club of, USHHM so the students could invent new drinks to quench their thirst. The assignment required the students to apply everything they had learned in class, and as a result, creative concoctions were made and presented with great vigour and flair. Total of eight teams participated in competition. The winning team was Ms. Kalash Thapa, Harsh Dhaundiyal and Mohd. Shadan.

In the end, the Principal, USHHM congratulated all the winners and blessed them for all future endeavors. He also extended his wishes and motivated all the faculty members to initiate more activities for students to share the knowledge.
