The Hospitality Club, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, Uttaranchal University organized a theme lunch based on “South Indian Cuisine” on 25th February 2023.
The students at Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management recently organized a theme lunch centered around South Indian cuisine. The event aimed to showcase the unique and diverse flavors of South Indian cuisine to the student community.
The event was organized by a team of students who worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was in place for the day. The students decorated the venue with colorful rangolis, and floral arrangements that represented the essence of South Indian culture.
The menu for the day featured a wide range of dishes that were handpicked from different states of South India. The main course included rice dishes such as lemon rice. The students also prepared some of the popular South Indian delicacies such as idli, dosa, vada, and uttapam. The meal was accompanied by a variety of chutneys and sambar, which added a burst of flavor to the already delicious dishes.
The students did not stop at just the main course. They also served a variety of desserts such as payasam which are popular in South India.
The event was not just about the food; it was also a celebration of South Indian culture. The students also gave a brief presentation on the history and culture of South India, which helped the attendees gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cuisine.
