A seminar on Health and Hygiene for girl students organized by Women cell, Uttaranchal University under the aegis of Uttaranchal Institute of Management dated 01 March, 2023 to celebrate the women hood on the occasion of International Women’s Day in the Seminar Hall of UIM in offline mode. This seminar aimed at providing an appropriate knowledge regarding health and hygiene to girl students to further motivate them to maintain accordingly.
Prof. Shanmuga Meenakshi G., Dean, UCN, Uttaranchal University was the eminent speaker for the seminar. Ms. Sheela Bijlwan, Assistant Professor, UIM, Dr. Deepa Bisht, Assistant Professor, UIM, and Dr. Abhilasha Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIM members of Women Cell, organized the seminar for all the female students.
Ms. Prerna Yadav, UIM, a student from BBA VI semester, Uttaranchal University, was the MoC of the event, welcomed the eminent speaker to have discussion over the importance and maintenance of health and hygiene.
Prof. Shanmuga Meenakshi G. initiated the session with highlighting the importance of physical health and personal hygiene for females. She talked about specifically the physical exercise, use of less chemicals to maintain the personal hygiene. She further focused on importance of yoga for the inner and outer positive radiant appearance. Most importantly she emphasized on menstruation hygiene by using proper cotton sanitary pads. At the end she focused on keeping oneself fit and healthy to impart values and to bring healthy future generations.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM, Uttaranchal University to the faculty members, students and a gratitude to the speaker, Prof. Shanmuga Meenakshi G., for augmenting knowledge to the female students on the importance of health and hygiene. The seminar turned out to be an interactive & informative with great success.
