The
Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management recently hosted a face-painting
competition. on International Women’s Day. The event was held
on March 2, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm,
and the theme of the competition was Break
the Bias.
The
primary objective of the competition was to celebrate the achievements of women
and raise awareness about gender biases. The competition provided students with
an opportunity to showcase their artistic skills and creativity while promoting
a sense of community and inclusiveness among the students. The event started with the judges being
welcomed and then Kundan recited a poem on women's empowerment, while Shivanshu
presented a rap on women's safety. Afterwards, the judges examined all the face
paintings that were created by the students and asked them various questions.
The event culminated with the announcement of the results, with the winning team
being named Team Rebellious. The competition was organized by Sapna Bisht, the
Women's Cell Coordinator at USHHM, along with student coordinators Jharna and
Shivani.
