With the aim of providing a platform to the students for exhibiting their public speaking skills, Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, organised a speech competition in multiple languages on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.
The event was held on Feb 21, 2023 at 11.00 a.m. in the UIM Seminar Hall with the theme of the competition being ‘Our Languages, Our Assets’.21 students from different courses enthusiastically participated in the Speech competition giving speeches in the national language, Hindi. Around 120 students from the graduate and post-graduate programmes attended the competition. Prikunj Jaidka, student of BBA 1st year was the Master of Ceremony for the event. The winners of the competition were Ashta Bisht, Pooja Kumari, Vaibhav Rai. The event was conducted by Dr. Yuvika Gupta, Associate Professor and Dr. Shailesh Chamola, Assistant Professor, UIM and the Literary Committee members.
