Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University organized a “Guest Lecture on Career Guidance in Defense Services” for the 2nd and 3rd year students of BCA and BSc-IT on 8th September 2022. The speaker of the day was Mr. Devender Singh, BCA Alum’s (2017-2020) Batch.
Mr. Abhishek Kumar Pathak, Assistant Professor, USCS welcomed the dignitaries Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, Chancellor Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS and Mr. Devender Singh.
Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma officially welcomed the guest Mr. Devender and introduces his journey from BCA to CDS OTA exam qualification and she also suggests certain books to improve general English and elementary mathematics. After that, Chancellor Sir, in his speech congratulated Mr. Devender for his achievements and motivated the students to be groomed enough to crack any interview.
After that, Mr. Devender took over the stage and started his presentation in which he described his journey and the strategic moves which he followed to achieve his goal. He elaborated on students with different pathways for joining the Armed Forces, CAPF. He explained the eligibility criteria, syllabi, and selection process along with the type of questions asked. He also shares the ways to these exams and also emphasized upon inculcating high moral ethical values in oneself to improve personality as the officer like qualifies cannot be forged whether they are or not.
The session was highly informative and all the students of USCS participated enthusiastically. Many more questions were asked by the students and very well explained by the Speaker Mr. Devender.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Abhishek Kumar Pathak and the event was a remarkable success by of the support of the faculties of USCS.
