School of Agriculture (SOA) organized a Career Counselling Session for the final-year students, of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, Semester VII, on 22nd August 2022, titled on “Rural Agri-Entrepreneurship 2022-23”. The session was started with a welcome note by Dr Rajendra Prasad, HoD Agriculture, Uttaranchal University. He motivated the students to for Rural Agri-Entrepreneurship including Fish Farming, Dairy, Poultry, Goatry, etc. He focused on practical and hands-on training on modern farming techniques, resource management, and marketing strategies. The invited expert, Mr. Rohit Kumar from the Institute of Agriculture Training and Research (A Unit of Unifiers Social Ventures), Premnagar, Dehradun, elucidated on techniques used for resource management in rural areas of Uttarakhand. He provided insights into the latest government schemes and policies available for Agriculture graduates. During the session, students posed their doubts which Mr. Kumar expertly addressed and clarifying all questions of the students. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks Proposed by Mr. Amit Bhatt, Assistant Professor at SOA. Total 69 students were attended the session.
