Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated World Forestry Day on 21st March 2022. The day was celebrated by conducting a Plantation drive in the college campus herbal garden by planting different medicinal Plants. It is commemorated as an International Day of Forest on March 21st every year with the aim to increase awareness about the unprecedented role forests play in sustaining lives on this planet. Forests provide food, water, and shelter to animals and human beings. They reduce the impact of life-threatening conditions such as floods and climatic changes. All the students actively participated and planted different kinds of medicinal plants like Tulsi, Aloe, Kaner, lemongrass, Harsingar, Elachi in the herbal garden of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Dr. Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS, appreciated the work done by the students and faculty members. He also informed the importance of Forest in life. 30 Pharmacy students participated in the event. Mr. S. P. Bhatt coordinated the event.
