The much-anticipated Intra-College Sports Tournament 2024, organized by the Law College Dehradun Sports Committee, took place on 11 October 2024, showcasing an electrifying blend of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship.
The event featured three captivating competitions: Volleyball, Arm Wrestling, and Chess, with students displaying remarkable determination and prowess.
Event Highlights
Volleyball:
Boys’ Category: LL. B triumphed in a nail-biting final, edging past BA LL.B with a 3-2 victory.
Girls’ Category: BA LL.B claimed the top spot with a hard-fought 3-2 win against BBA LL.B.
Arm Wrestling:
Boys’ Champion: Adhiraj, a first-year student, showcased exceptional strength and focus to emerge victorious.
Girls’ Champion: Aarti outshone her competitors with her unmatched determination.
Chess:
Boys’ Category: Yash Gupta, a fifth-year student, delivered a masterclass in strategy to secure the top position.
Girls’ Category: First-year student Mishti Goel impressed everyone with her brilliant gameplay to secure the championship.
The tournament began with inspiring inaugural words by Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor & Dean, and Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare. Smt. Anuradha Joshi, Vice Chairperson of the Smt. Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research, graced the event as Chief Guest, while Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, attended as Guest of Honour.
The day concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony, where the winners were honored with trophies and certificates. Kudos to all the participants and the organizing committee for making the tournament a phenomenal success!
