The Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 10 October 2024 with enthusiastic participation from a large number of students. The event was part of the institution's continuous efforts to contribute towards environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of preserving nature. 

The activity was organized under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director UIM, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM. The plantation drive took place at the Healing Saathi Animal Sanctuary for disabled animals at Selaqui, Uttarakhand, in collaboration with Shri Vinayak, President of the Jai Youth Wing, Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti. More than 100 saplings were planted, including guava, neem, bamboo, mango, and various medicinal plants. 

The plantation drive reflects the university's commitment to environmental sustainability and its ongoing efforts to engage students in socially responsible activities. The event was organized by Mr Rohit Dhiman, Head and Dr Navnit Kumar Shukla, Ms Sakshi Chamoli, Dr Deepshi Garg, and Ms Sanjana Kaithwal, members of Globe Club who worked tirelessly to ensure the event's success. Students actively participated in planting a diverse range of saplings, enhancing the sanctuary's ecosystem while learning about their critical role in environmental protection. 

The plantation drive was an effort to foster a sense of responsibility among students toward the environment, inspiring them to take proactive steps in making the world a greener place. The event was a great success.
