Epiphany: UU ELTAI Reading Club at Uttaranchal University marked International Translation Day with a vibrant and educational event on 30th September 2024. Held at the Seminar Hall, UCN, the event saw enthusiastic participation from the students and the faculty members of the School of Liberal Arts, highlighting the role of translation in bridging linguistic and cultural divides. The members of the club hosted some multilingual games that engaged students in interactive activities designed to test their language skills and cultural knowledge. The participants translated expressions in global languages, songs, and movie dialogues into their regional languages, illustrating the versatility and power of translation in uniting cultures. The opportunity to interact across languages provided a unique platform for students to develop their language skills while deepening their understanding of different cultural perspectives. These creative tasks not only entertained but also deepened the participants' appreciation of linguistic diversity.

Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, School of Liberal Arts, shed light on the importance of translation in the global scenario. His words reinforced the significance of multilingualism and translation as tools for fostering cross-cultural communication and understanding. The Reading Club's initiative reinforced the significance of translation in facilitating global communication and cultural exchange.
