The University Cultural and Event Committee organized a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (Street Play) to welcome freshers as part of the Induction programme, “Deeksharambh 2024.” It focused on the critical issues of peer pressure and anti-ragging and how to overcome them.

The play revolved around the challenges faced by students in a new environment, highlighting the negative consequences of succumbing to peer pressure and ragging. The narrative explored themes of self-identity, friendship, and support, encouraging fresher students to make informed choices.
The students were deeply moved and many shared their own experiences and perspectives. The Nukkad Natak organized under the mentorship of Ms. Shikha Negi, was a resounding success, achieving its objective of raising awareness about peer pressure and ragging.
Followed by the Nukkad Natak, a Flash Mob was also organized by the University Cultural and Events Committee to welcome the fresher students and help them integrate into campus life. More than 40 senior students from all the colleges of the University participated in the event. The event featured a surprise dance performance by senior students. The upbeat and modern choreography energized the crowd and created an exciting atmosphere. The event showcased the university’s vibrant culture and served as an icebreaker for students, making them feel comfortable. The Flash Mob organized under the guidance of Mr Ajay Singh Rawat, was a resounding success.
