FDP Program on “Importance of Traditional Indian Knowledge System in Health Wellness”

One Week FDP Program on "Importance of Traditional Indian Knowledge System (IKS) in Health Wellness" was organized by the School of Applied & Life Sciences, Uttaranchal University from 28 June 2024 to 04 July 2024. Prof Ajay Singh, Dean SALS briefed about the objectives of the FDP and the Importance of the Traditional Indian Knowledge System in health wellness. Prof Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Uttaranchal University stressed on use of IKS for Innovation and better-leading quality. Mr Ravi Sen Sharma, GM-Alder Biochem Pharma Company in the introductory technical session elaborated on the importance of herbals in daily life for health wellness, whereas Mr Shashikant Dubey, Yoga expert of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan talked about the importance of Yoga in health wellness.  Yoga sessions were also organised on two days. Dr Arunesh Dixit, GM-Himalaya Wellness Company) also discussed about traditional uses of herbal species for health wellness while Dr Harish Chandra, Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidhyalay, Haridwar) discussed antibiotic resistance in human beings and remedies using IKS. Prof Shanti Bhushan Mishra, Professor, UIP, and Allahabad discussed the traditional herbal remedies for Diabetic Management.
