Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a five- day Management Development Programme (MDP) on Intellectual Property Rights from 25 June 2024 to 29 June 2024 in collaboration with MSME and DRI with the aim of empowering SMEs with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect and leverage their intellectual assets effectively.
The inaugural ceremony was honored by the presence of Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Chief Guest Mr Pushkar Singh Bisht, Deputy Director MSME, Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean, USCS, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh Director, DRI, Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot Head, DRI.
The resource persons for the sessions are Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, Dr Monisha Awasthi, and Dr Ishteyaaq Ahmad. Topics like fundamental concepts of IPR, types of IPR, Patent searching, filling and drafting process were covered by the Resource Persons. Additionally, they shall discuss trade secrets and industrial designs, emphasizing their importance for business interests and product aesthetics. They also focussed on the creation and significance of patent drawings through case studies and best practices.
