The Alumni Cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organized a successful seminar on ‘Unveiling Insights: Navigating the Frontier of Data Science and Machine Learning for being a Business Analyst’ on 22 March 2024 for MBA students, UIM.
Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM started the session by addressing the students and the faculty members and emphasized on the importance of Data Science and Machine Learning for being a Business Analyst. Data Analytics and Data science is an upcoming requirement of every specialization area may it be finance, human resource, marketing, sales or any other management field, the need for business analyst is growing in the industry.
The Guest Speaker, Mr Ashish Som is a valued alumnus of Uttaranchal University. Mr. Ashish Som has been serving as a Data Science Trainer in Woolf University Malta Europe and has been working as a Data Scientist at Learnvista Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Mr. Ashish Som began his session by sharing his experience of his career journey. He emphasized on tools and techniques in Data Science mainly focused on programming language such as Python, R, SQL to collect and process data. He also talked about data visualization and best techniques to follow in order to make the best use of data visualization tools. He also shared his knowledge and experience about some essential tools to learn such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Ggplot, Tableau, and PowerBi. The students proactively participated during this knowledgeable session.
At the end Ms Anika Sharma, Assistant Professor, UIM proposed a vote of thanks to the Guest Speaker. The session was interactive and successful.
