Online Workshop on Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

 

Hospitality Club of USHHM, Uttaranchal University organised an Online Workshop on Awareness Program on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on 18 March 2024. The webinar featured Dr Manoj Kumar Singh, CGPDTM, DPIIT, and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, who brought his vast expertise in IPR to the fore.  

 

The event marked a milestone in educating students and professionals about the pivotal role of intellectual property in fostering innovation, creativity, and competition in various industries. Dr Singh's comprehensive presentation covered essential topics such as the importance of patents, copyrights, trademarks, and designs, and offered strategic insights into navigating the complex landscape of intellectual property rights.  

 

Participants were engaged in a lively Q&A session, highlighting the relevance of IPR in today's digital and globalized economy. The webinar not only served as a valuable learning platform but also encouraged attendees to consider the implications of IPR in their professional and creative endeavours. Uttaranchal University's initiative has set a precedent in promoting intellectual property awareness and its critical importance in safeguarding innovations and creative works. At the end, vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Surendra Singh Bhakuni, Assistant Professor, USHHM.
