Cultural Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Uttaranchal University on Holi Festival organised different events like Rangoli making competition, T-shirt painting competition and skit under the theme Mystical Melange: Festival of Colors on 21 March 2024. The event was organized by Mrs Jyotsana Suyal and Mrs Srishti Morris under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS.
The event's aim was to celebrate the Holi festival in which students show their creativity with vibrant colors. Rangoli is the embodiment of Hindu belief and the festivities bestowed upon us.
The students made the rangoli and painting in duration of two hours using different colors. The participants also express what is symbolized in the rangoli. T-shirt painting was also organized along with a skit related to theme. Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS congratulated all on this auspicious occasion and appreciated the work done by the students.
The juries of the event were Mrs. Nidhi Gairola and Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal. The participants were judged based on Theme conveyed, color combination, creativity and overall appearance. 60 students participated in the Rangoli Competition, Painting competition and skit. It was a successful event.
In rangoli competition First prize was bagged by Anamika, Prakriti Joshi, B Pharm I Year while the Second prize was won by Harmanjot Kaur, Jiya Thapa, BBA I Year and in painting competition First prize was bagged by Kaushal Mondal, Kumari Pankhuri, B Pharm I Year while the Second prize was won by Akshay Chauhan, Akash Ray, B Pharm II Year.
