Day 3 of “Deeksharambh-2023” Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences organized a “USCS GOT TALENT 2023” on 18th August 2023 for providing the platform to freshers to showcase their talent and create awareness among students about Cultural Events in which Dancing, Singing, Debate Competition and Painting Competition were held. Students of MCA, BCA, BSc IT 1st Year took part in this event with great excitement and showcased their talent in the event. The objective of this event was to give opportunities to freshers to showcase their hidden talent and to spread positive vibes among them.
Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Dean USCS addressed the students and encouraged them to participate enthusiastically in all events without the fear of failure. She said “You are unique. You have different talents and abilities. You don’t always have to follow in the footsteps of others. And most important, you should always remind yourself that you don't have to do what everyone else is doing and have a responsibility to develop the talents”. She also motivated the students to build a talent and overcome their shyness.
The Jury members of the Dancing and Singing Event were Ms. Noopur Dass and Mr. Ankit Vishwakarma. The jury members of the Debate Competition were Mr. Ishteyaaq Ahmad and Mr. Kamesh Yadav. Judge’s criteria were based on Creativity, Originality, Content, Expression, Choreography, Voice, Confidence and Ability to convey the talent effectively. The Winner of various event was Prerna Uppal MCA I B (Painting), Gauri BCA I (Dancing), Sohail BCA I G (Singing), Charu Goyal BCA I E (Debate) and Runners up was Swati MCA I (Dancing), Milan Singh BCA I E (Debate).
The event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Ajay Singh Rawat along with Mr. Shubham Sharma, Ms. Manisha Khanduja, Ms. Manisha Saini under the guidance of Dr. Sameer Dev Sharma HOD, USCS. The student of our department came forward and participated with all the zeal. An interaction with freshers also took place through the medium of these events and finally it was a great success with the support of all respected faculty members and students.
